Neil Ross - Biography
Neil Ross founded Codesweeper in the summer of 2000 as a way to communicate ongoing work related to ColdFusion applications and for the solicitation of ColdFusion development projects.
Neil began working with ColdFusion in 1997 building small database-driven web sites that featured catalogs and simple data entry interfaces. Within three years he was working for Allaire as a ColdFusion Consulting Services resource, travelling North America to work with Allaire clients. Since leaving Allaire Neil has worked in private industry as well as state and federal government contracting architecting, developing and maintaining ColdFusion web applications.
Neil has remained active in the ColdFusion community as an
author and speaker on topics ranging from coding best practices and
application performance, to application architecture and
server tuning.
Neil published articles on ColdFusion application
development and co-authored a book on ColdFusion called Inside ColdFusion MX ( Amazon.com)..
Codesweeper was nominated as the best consulting firm
in the ColdFusion Developer's Journal 2003 Reader's
Choice Awards.
In addition to the Best Consulting Firm
nomination, Codesweeper's photo gallery application, PhotoFolio has been nominated
in the category of Best Web Application and received the
second runner up prize in the Most Innovative ColdFusion
Application category.
Neil has worked since 2001 supporting state and federal government projects. Neil currently holds fulltime position as the Chief Technology Officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry. Neil remains active with ColdFusion development projects through Codesweeper.
